Bald Eagle Survey 2012

From a Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs press release:

On Friday, January 13, 2012, officials from the Department of Fish and Game’s (DFG) Division of Fisheries and Wildlife (MassWildlife) will conduct a statewide bald eagle survey of the coast and major rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. The Massachusetts survey is part of an annual nationwide Midwinter Bald Eagle Survey that began January 4 and runs through January 18.

Birders and other wildlife enthusiasts are encouraged to notify MassWildlife if they see eagles from January 4 through January 18. Reports of eagle sightings can be made by email at mass.wildlife@state.ma.us or by postal service to "Eagle Survey," MassWildlife, Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program, 1 Rabbit Hill Road, Westborough, MA, 01581. Please provide date, time, location, and town of eagle sightings, plus the number of birds, whether juvenile or adult, and, observer's contact information.
